Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej or now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. an Olympic competition. Bela Karrolyi, the Romanian gymnastics instructor, who was later Comaneci's coach who first came across Comaneci at the age of six. Her first competitive event was the national junior championships in where she placed 13th in 1969. In 1970, Comaneci was crowned champion. The first time she competed in an international event, which was a preolympics junior competition for countries in the Communist bloc, she won 3 gold medals. In 1973 and 1975, she won awarded the All-around Junior Champion. In her first international competition as a senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals as well as one silver. She was the winner of the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first woman in history to complete the backward double salto in a dismount from the uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her journey in the entertainment industry began during her teens, when she began performing as a figure skater with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol's first job was in entertainment as a teenager. As a young girl she was the figure skater alongside Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. These shows included skaters who were performed to music from the stage.
