Zazie Beetz, born in 1991 was born in Berlin. Her birthplace was in Germany, Berlin. She has a mother who is a Social Worker of South Africa-American descent from New York. Jennifer Aniston is also a graduate of the same highschool. Beetz studied French at Skidmore College after graduating LaGuardia. Following graduation from Skidmore College Beetz began to audition immediately for roles and was eventually offered in the role of Van at Atlanta. Beetz was born in Berlin and grew up with German-American parents as well as an African American mother living in New York, spoke both German as well as English at home. Zazie started doing shows on community and local stages during her childhood. In grade school she started acting, and went on to become a professional actress. Zendaya's Disney Channel Breakout role Zendaya's dancing abilities paid off. In 2010 the dancer and actress finally landed her breakout performance when she was cast as Rocky Blue in the show "Shake it Up," along with co-star Bella Thorne. Zendaya, who was then 11 went vegetarian after seeing an animal slaughterhouse during an excursion with her father. She told PEOPLE, "I thought it was horrible, seeing all the animals being stuffed and in a cage waiting to be killed. It shocked me that I used this method of obtaining meat. She's been eating predominantly vegetarian diet ever since.
