Cheney is a prominent figure in Washington politics, worked with four presidents in the United States. George W. Bush is the fourth. Bush has appointed Cheney as his vice-presidential candidate in 2000, due to his intelligence and judgment. Dick Cheney has served our nation as the chief of staff for a president. He was a member of the United States Congress and [servedas secretary of defense. Cheney is a man with integrity who is respected by Republicans and Democrats. Cheney said he views his job as a trustworthy and discreet adviser to Bush's administration. Cheney has accepted the Republican Vice-Presidential nomination in 2007, said the he would be looking forward to serving under a president that is able to work across party lines and cooperate with political adversaries with goodwill and a common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney, son of Richard Herbert Cheney & Marjorie Lauraine Dickey was born on the 30th of January, 1941, in Lincoln Nebraska. When he was 13 years old Richard and his family moved from Nebraska to Casper where his dad was the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture local soil conservancy district.
