Katherine Heigl reveals the ways that growing up as a child in a 'white bubble' changed the way she raised her adoptive multiracial family. She is the "Firefly Lane" and "Grey's Anatomy" actor revealed in an interview recently that -- when it came to skin tone, it wasn't a factor for her what she wore, but after she spoke with her older sister who was adopted to South Korea, she realized how different society treated the two of the two. "I inquired of Meg how she was treated differently when she went out with us parents than when she went out alone. Meg responded "Oh sure! Every time!" Heigl talked to parents about when she realized the naivety of her actions. She said that she was upset and believed she needed to channel the anger she felt on her adopted daughters. Heigl has a son who is 4 year with Josh Kelley, her husband for the past 13 years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion, in 2009.
